Charlie Anne Sherman was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia when she was just 10 weeks old. After a year of treatment at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's hospital, she ultimately passed away shortly after relapsing in August of 2012. Charlie was survived by her mother and father, Kelly and Mike. Though her time with us was far too short, Charlie has touched the lives of thousands and continues to do so each and every day.

Charlie's fight and courage has inspired the creation of Charlie's Angels Racing, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, that has a simple mission:  To provide relief for families that are going through a similar struggle that Charlie was and to do whatever possible to provide happiness for children that are going through a difficult time.

Charlie's Angels Racing currently has two major fundraising events. We put on the yearly Charlie's Angels Christmas Toy Drive, where we accept any unused and unopened toys and deliver them to the 7th floor of the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital where Charlie received such terrific treatment. Our second major event is our participation in the Michigan Make-A-Wish Foundation, Wish-A-Mile bicycle ride. This is a grueling 3 day, 300 mile bicycle ride across the state of Michigan with all funds raised going directly to the Michigan Make-A-Wish Foundation and granting wishes to children that are facing life threatening illnesses.
