Charlie Anne Sherman was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia when she was just 10 weeks old. After a year of treatment at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's hospital, she ultimately passed away shortly after relapsing in August of 2012. Charlie was survived by her mother and father, Kelly and Mike. Though her time with us was far too short, Charlie has touched the lives of thousands and continues to do so each and every day.

Charlie's fight and courage has inspired the creation of Charlie's Angels Racing, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, that has a simple mission:  To provide relief for families that are going through a similar struggle that Charlie was and to do whatever possible to provide happiness for children that are going through a difficult time.

Charlie's Angels Racing currently raises funds for multiple different causes, all of which are focused on helping families that are going through a significant hardship. We have raised over $200,000 for the Make A Wish Michigan Foundation, granting over 20 wishes to children facing life threatening illnesses. In addition to our efforts for the Make A Wish Foundation, we have organized toy drives for the Mott Children's Hospital, made donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, made direct donations to families in need, and granted scholarships for youth sports, clubs, and activities in memory of Charlie.
